Very good contact from initial sales enquiry, our visit to inspect the proposed new vehicle and communications regarding delivery of the new car. Full discussions around purchase and trade in held in person at the BMW Centre which was what we wanted

My X5 was booked in for an initial consultation to resolve an issue where the single seat in the middle row would not fully return to its correct position. This cost £150. The fix was quoted as >£1400. My local independent fixed it for £120!

Although the advisories on my car were known in advance of the booking and being assured the work would only take one day the work over-ran. The problem was down to some rusty bolts which could probably have been forseen given the work schedule.

Dash cam always left disconnected. Electric seat not returned to stored position. Media setting not returned to setting prior to service - I have saved radio stations set for steering wheel scroll wheel.

Very pleased overall, politely greeted as I entered the reception area where I was introduced to the helpful service advisor who was looking after me, they made me a nice coffee and informed me I could help myself to nice selection of beverages.

The only reason for not giving full marks is that i was not greeted personally by my service advisor on arrival. Other than that I could not fault the service or facilitate provided while i waited for the work to be completed.

New battery fitted and although this had to be ordered as not kept in stock, I had my car fixed and back with me on the Monday which was only 2 working days from the car going in.

Having complained I gave approval on inconsistent recommendations of the service team compared to the mechanics advice . Basically I was told, tough you approved it already, including on a call with and the customer service manager on a second call

One recall took more than a day to rectify. They must have known it would take a long time, and I was greatly inconvenienced by my car being kept over a weekend. I should at the outset been told to book it in for 2 days.

The service centre in south Ascot is excellent with friendly efficient staff. The low ranking is because the appointment (and the appointment reminders) mentioned only the Sunningdale name and address so I took the car there where I was redirected.

It was good but concerning that after MOT examination I was advised that I needed 3 new tyres and your sheet showed the 3 no tyres and all the same size. There was 2 front and 1 rear, the car is an X5 so the tyres are different sizes.

The job was completed to standard and a full health check was provided for the vehicle. My two issues were the wait time, 2 hours for a 90 min appointment and the fact that the car was washed without asking. The machine washes are not the best !

More effort should have been made to ensure I didn't incur additional costs from the hire car from LCH - which was not a good experience. I ended up having two different cars because one broke down whilst I was out late one evening with my 7 yo son.
